Peptidci

Peptitler (Grekçe: πεπτίδια; “önemsiz sindirilebilirler”) teşhismlanmış bir düzende, α-amino asitlerin birbirine rabıtalanmasıyla oluşan kısaltarak polimerlerdir.[1] Bir amino hamız kalıntısı ile öbürü arasındaki bağ bir “amit bağ” yahut peptit bağı olarak bilinir.[1]

Tetrapeptit (Oligopeptit)
Proteinler polipeptit molekülleridir (yahut çok sayıda polipeptit alt birimi çitndırır). Asliye fark peptitlerin kısaltarak, polipeptitlerin/proteinlerin ise uzun olmasıdır.[1]

Protein sentezi esnasında her amino hamız, başka amino asite kesiksiz, kırılmayan bir polimer olan polipeptid zincirleriyle rabıtalanır. Polipeptid bünyesına merhametsizlan amino asitlerin her biri bünyeya peptid rabıtalarıyla rabıtalanır. Peptid bağının oluşumu esnasında amino asitlerden birinin amino grubu ile diğerinin karboksil grubu, aradan bir akarsu çıkması sonucu birleşirler.[1]

Ortalama bir polipeptit zinciri 450 amino asitten oluşur.[1] Bilinen en uzun polipeptit, ortalama 27,000 amino asitten oluşan, kas dokusunda kâin “titin”dir. Polipeptid zincirine merhametsizlan amino asitlere kalıntı (residue) adı verilir.[1] Zincirin bir ucundaki kalıntı, bağ yapmamış, hür amino grubu çitndırır ve N ucu olarak adlandırılır. Aynı şekilde zincirin başka ucundaki hür α-karboksil grubu olan kalıntıevet C ucu adı verilir.
